Many of the financial problems faced by Landlords can be resolved when a proper Security Deposit is in place. However, sometimes the proper amount of funds are not held in that deposit, and many times it’s due to mismanagement of the funds themselves.
If the Landlord doesn’t anticipate problems, the first place the Landlord might look when a problem surfaces is to the Deposit, and robbing this fund to pay for fees owed by the Tenant can spell future disaster. If, however, a Landlord is fully prepared for the kinds of Tenant problems that can reasonably be expected, then when the unexpected hits, the Landlord is secure, and business is strong!
