Tenants during an Eviction trial are usually anything but predictable. Generally, you send the Notice to Vacate and then all communication shuts down. It was already bad when they stopped answering your calls or would return your texts when the rent was a few days late, but now that the Eviction process has begun, there is ZERO communication.
But what are you supposed to do if the Tenant leaves a few days before trial? How will the court treat your case if there’s no one left to evict? Is it even worth going to the courthouse to get a judgment when you got back the most important thing you were after – the property?
Today’s video sheds a little light on these and other important questions to consider when your tenant skips out right in the middle of an Eviction.
