The Texas Eviction Diversion Program started off with a number of technical problems, but it now appears to be moving more efficiently. While the applicants we serve are still too few for us to call the program a success, we are beginning to see progress for Landlords looking to collect unpaid rent from Tenants who have been negatively impacted by the Corona virus Pandemic.

Our real focus, however, is on the new year.

While the CDC Eviction Moratorium is scheduled to end on December 31, 2020, there is talk in Washington D.C. about extending the moratorium into 2021.

What would that mean for Landlords? Unfortunately, nothing good.

Knowing that, we must be prepared for this potential outcome. Fortunately, the State of Texas has provided some relief for Landlords and Tenants looking to stay afloat during these particularly challenging times.
