Telling your tenant to stop doing something might get them to do it, but it’s not the best strategy. If the Landlord doesn’t take steps to enforce a Lease, the Tenant will simply do what they please.
Enforcement should come with a consistent and fair approach. To accomplish this, a Landlord should have a plan in place to deal with defaults of the residential lease.
