A lot of experienced landlords are absolutely shocked when they win a case and then the tenant is allowed to appeal. Often, they automatically assume that they must have done something wrong. Or that the court has done something wrong.
But the truth is, that is not necessarily the case. At the justice court, everyone is allowed to appeal whether everything was perfect with your lawsuit or not. The truth is, you can appeal too. Especially, if you don’t believe that you’ve gotten the judgement you deserve. Generally specking there is a $500 fee for the appeal, but, never the less, you do have that right.
